Aiptasia

These things are tough, 3 months sitting in a 10g tank packed full of rock,,by the window, with the window cracked, no heater, tiny pump to keep water from stinking.
Stuck the rocks in a 12" cube with clean water, heater and circulation, and within 15 minutes this one stands all the way up..
Popping out of the rocks everywhere...

I tried to raise berghi before. Those things go thru aiptasia like crazy. So I had people giving me aiptasia to keep the colony going. At one point I had a tupperware container that had some in it that I did not bring home from work. So this turned into an experiment. They sat on my desk with no real sunlight and I did absolutely nothing to the water or feed them. they lasted a little over 5 months in that container.

They are on the move now...

Kinda cool to watch, they inflate one side of their foot, stick it down and deflate the other side....
You can see it up top if you look close...
