DIY Tank Stand Ideas....
Here is my situation.
I am building a Tank stand for my 75 gallon reef tank, the frame itself is not a problem. I plan on adding a access door on one side (for top off water) and double doors in the front, for easy access to the sump tank, skimmer, etc. On the back of the door, I am adding wire basket shelves, to store my chems, misc gear. What I am looking for is ideas to make this stand unique, and make it look real nice. Please give me whatever ideas you have, or links to threads with them. As I have spent way too much time looking on my own. Thanks in advance, you guys are the best. |

Here is the stand that I am just finishing.
I just have to finish waterproofing and complete the door panel insert (flush fit and held in place by magnets). It will be two-tone as well.

Fancy stands thread http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...t=fancy+stands
Also try http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1567110 which is more of a frame thread, but lots of pics of finished product. |

I skinned my canopy and stand (wood and metal respectively) with 1/4" birch ply as a base then put some knotty pine 'Edge and Center Bead Plank Paneling' with the similar style top and bottom molding. I just sealed it to leave the wood very visible, but i like the way wood looks.
