Media Reactors
I realize these are super simple and most people just buy whatever, but I am upgrading and looking for a couple specific things;
- No more than 5.5" footprint, height is not so important, between 10 and 16 inches is fine, as long as it holds about 1/2 litre. - I need the top bubble plate to be able to be moved (and secured) up and down. It seems a lot of them have it attached to the lid (like Avast or Geo) or other means which keeps it at the top, which won't work for me. - I would prefer simple 90° 1/2" hose barb connections and a thumbscrew type lid. - Prefer cast acrylic and something not made in China The only real options I have found are the Aquamaxx (China), Bashsea (straight fittings though) and the new Aquaforest (probably China) one but I am wondering if there are others. Vertex looks ok, but not the style of lid or fittings I prefer. Thanks for help! |

Have you looked at NextReef Media Reactors? I don't know the dimensions but it's pretty close to what you're looking for.

He said he didn't want one from Avast because he wants to be able to move the top bubble plate.

I also found the MRC reactors which looks awesome but man, not many people sell the newer X series. I can only find them on EBay. |

Have you looked at the Innovative Marine AUQA reactor?
http://www.marinedepot.com/Innovativ...FRISPR-vi.html There are three sizes available but the link is the 1000 ml version. The next version down only handles 350 ml

I'd contact Avast about a custom kit. I bet they'll take care of you. I recently bought one of their you builds and am happy with it.

Just purchased the Avast kit with an extra lower media plate. I can make this work pretty easily I believe and I have been happy with all Avast products I have purchased before.
