No. Keep enjoying it. Maybe in a yr or two I’ll take a frag back. We’ll see how the angel behave with cheaper sps first

I think we are talking about different fish. I should have been more descriptive! Its the smaller one, with a yellow tail and dark blue/purple dots and stripes.

Your tank looks great! Are you still using the Geo Calcium Reactor? Im considering getting one for my CDA 230. Do you add any trace elements or just go with whatever is in the reactor media? Do you perform water changes? Thanks.

Thank you very much! Yes, still using the Geo reactor, upgraded to the 624 model from the 618. I just use the large aragonite in the chamber. Water changes happen once per month & about 15%.

Thank you! Speaking of progression I’ve been taking these FTS shots every few months. Pretty cool to see the change in the reef over the 2 1/2 years.

Outstanding tank.

Would you share whom are you purchasing your livestock from? Do you QT your new fish before you put them in your display tank? If so, what is your protocol.

Thanks,

Dean

Thanks Dean. I purchase from a variety of sellers. Some online, some fellow Reefers & some LFS. I do not QT personally but I often have sellers that will QT for me.

As for corals I’m very careful to reduce my chances of pests entering my system. It’s happened to me in the past & I do everything I can to ensure things are peat free. Everything gets dipped in Melafix, the. a close examination with magnifying loupes & the a removal of the frag plug. After that, straight into the frag tank or display.
Hope that information helps.

Ron
