Thanks everyone!
After a couple very close calls, our house remains dry and power still on.
But many many people including friends and coworkers have not been so lucky.

Thanks for checking in Dennis. Hope you continue to have good luck. Both my bothers are still dry, but some of my friends are not so lucky. It has been a sad Facebook day with old friends talking about leaving their homes or having water in it. Suck too that there is no way I can get to them to help.

Lost power at 2am.
Running the generator.
Luckily temps are low so we don't need the AC.
And its still raining but its light. The storm is steadily moving east.

That's great!!! We lived with a generator for 17 days after Sandy hit us in NJ and still remember the moment the power came back on.

Any idea on how the old house is faring? it just makes me wonder how it would have worked out for your family and tank/fishroom if you would not have moved.

17 days for us after Ike.
That's why I'm prepared now!

Thanks, we made it through without a scratch. Trying to get somewhat back to normal now.

Wow. Good to hear.
The aerial photos in the news are pretty gut wrenching.
If you made it through that, you should never move again!

I know. I think whenever we do sell the house, "Survived the great flood of 2017" will be at the top of the listing.

Power was restored right around noon. So just 10 hours without.
There were very little power outages around town. This storm didn't bring a lot of wind with it (so not a lot of falling trees taking out power lines), just 51.88" of rain.

Glad to hear you are back on regular power.

On a reef note, do the GHL firmware updates always take five-ever? I am doing the inital setup of my P4 and the update have been running a while.

Usually just a few minutes.
You just reminded me that I still haven't gotten around to doing the latest update.
