Top 5 Detritus Cleaners?
hoping to seed my refugium with a number of cleaners, specifically I would like cleaners that consume detritus.
plan on running a big fuge with chaeto and possibly some mud/substrate with a kessil h350 magenta grow light. usually run bare bottom and hope to gather all detritus in either the fuge or skimmer. would like some cleaners to consume and break down waste, as I do not plan on doing water changes often - if at all. what are the top 5 detritus cleaners/eaters available to our hobby? thanks. |

I don't know about the other four but one I highly recommend although needs alot of sand.. When I first got him I wasn't too impressed maybe a month or two till I notice him really putting in work.. I see him now cleaning detritus all the time..
Oh yea the invert would be the pink and black Sea cucumber.. What a beast.... |

I choose detritus cleaners that reproduce in the tank; live food in the form of larvae:
bristle worms cerith snails micro stairs amphipods copepods spagette worms Some cucumber eat sand bed inhabitants
