Wow, I don't know how I just found this thread as of now. I just setup the same size sps aquarium last night. I had a little green board sheetrock dust fall into the water colomn while hanging the light fixture, but we won't go there... Overall I love the dimensions and size. Even more once I can get some of these frags in there. Im sure you feel my pain on that one. Good luck tank looks incredible.

BTW how do you like the Eden Flakes? I bought some but have been hesitant on going BB or putting them in. Do they move at all?

Thank you, I love shallow tanks! The top-down view is soo cool! Any pic of your setup?

The Tropic Eden grand select is the best sand I've ever used so far, it moves a little if mp40 and gyre 150 are both at 100% but I keep mine at 50% and it stays still!

I definitely second the grand select. I have a 210 gal tank and the sand stays put with an mp60, mp40 and gyre 150 all running full blast.

Nice!! Wish my overflow is on the corner also!

Is that 8x80W or a 6-bulb fixture? Are you going to use reefbrite LEDs as well?

For flow, I'm running a gyre150 on the left side, and an mp40 on the right!

You should document your build!

I should be partially complete with the sump section this weekend. Ill send you some pics when I have it all together. I still have to make the skimmer stand and manifold for the reactors. Im using two separate pumps for the return and manifold as I decided to go with the herbie overflow. The light is just a regular 8x80W ATI sunpower. Ive been wanting to have a few leds in my setup for the morning/night periods, but just didn't quite know how to make it work. How are the reefbrites connected on your setup?

Oh wow just googled it. The reefbrite leds are really nice esp how the are mountable on the ATI fixture. I got out of the hobby for a little while but man things have improved. Definitely going to be adding one to my system now.

Awesome! I'm actually going to add another 48" reefbrite on the back since I'm running a 6-bulb fixture instead of 8! Can't wait to see your progress!

Update!

We've added a few things since our last update: neon green Lokani, blue Millepora, bright pink millepora, and a 4" blue maxima clam (our first clam!).
The frags on the rack are being photo-acclimated and will be glued permanently hopefully by next month!

What's on the rack:
CC Banana Hammock
Red Planet
SunnyX Milli
BC Banana Lokani
BC Xmas
BC Him Hawer
BC Inland's Cyclops
BC Hyperberry Shortcake
BC Glo Stick

Also, a friend in CA is sending us a few nice frags this weekend, can't wait for those and hopefully they get here safely and colored up!

What's coming on Saturday:
RMF Red Devil Nasuta
SteezySPS Pink Fury
CITR Red Dragon
Tyree Pink Lemonade
ASD Rainbow Milli
Forest Fire Digitata
RR Purple Dragon Eyes
AoA Purple Brian Eyes
UC Strawberry Shortcake

(Sorry for the lousy pic! We almost pulled the trigger on a nice DSLR camera and lens but we got more sticks instead lol)

Oh, and all fish in QT (Kole, yellow, blue hippo, yellow cleaner goby, and starry blenny) are doing very well!! 2-week cupramine treatment is done, and prazipro treatment will start this weekend!

I highly suggest Cupramine! Fish continued eating like pigs (they are fed 2x/day) and I only did two 5-gallon water changes during the treatment, with minimal liverock (~5lbs) in the 2G long QT tank.

Made me a little table for my skimmer to eat at last night. First time working with weld on 3. Soooo easy and very strong bond. All I'm waiting on now is this dang 3/4'' silicone tubing to come in. I bought a Sicce 2.0 for the return and wow this sucker is LOUD!

BTW I'm jealous of your tonga branch... Did you epoxy this together or did it come like that?

@KingTriton, That's a nice skimmer stand! I'm using two cermedia 8x8x4 blocks to raise my skimmer. Thanks, my wife created the tonga structure! We had to make a few cuts and epoxied them together.

Thanks! I got the box today and they still looked colorful and had crazy PE in the bags!
My buddy also gave me large frags! I can seriously frag his frags! I should re-frag them and sell them so I can get my money back

Wow, thanks. It may be awhile though

I found some busted bubble algae while aquascaping and refuse to go down that road again. Looks like another 6 more months for me.
