Lime Water CO2 scrubber
Was anyone tried one of these. I could build a standard CO2 scrubber for decent price, but one of these would be simple. My one question is to either send air from an air pump into the lime water and bubble it or have a hose from the lid to the limewater and just rely on a vacuum approach.

I tried B and there was too much restriction for my skimmer. It caused it to overflow.

I thought it may. I think that A would work though, assuming I get the right line sizes.

I used a salt bucket and 3/4" thinwall PVC for both ends. I had the bucket a little over 1/2 full. Using method A with an air pump may work. What would you do with the output? Use it for a skimmer intake or to an air stone in the sump or....?

I'm thinking going to my skimmer. My only thought is that the air pump won't be enough and will restrict the skimmer.

An air pump could be used to keep the skimmer air flow high enough. As long as the pump can keep a constant output over time, it should be tunable to some degree by changing the water depth of the input point. I'm not sure how constant a hobbyist air pump would be, though.

A is a old a very common unit that works and has for 20 years, where the device to the left is an air pump. We also have used these for adding sup's where the outlet goes to below water level. The internal air pressure then pushes the sup water up the outlet tube to the tank.
