Bumping this thread for some help. My gen 4 S-120 had been working fine but tonight when I nudged the skimmer when I replaced my filter bags, the skimmer start producing large bubbles (and oddly lots of microbubbles as well that have spilled over into the tank). The bubbles in the body will only make it about half way up the body of the skimmer. Seems like there could be an issue with the Venturi but I’ve cleaned it and can’t identify any clear issues. Even tried blowing on the tube. Help!

My skimmer (different brand) does that when something obstructs the intake side of the venturi. Generally this is a hermit. I also had one make it all the way in and slow down the impeller once.

Not regulating the outlet flow can have a similar effect.
