temperature control

Hey i was curious if the AC3 is able to control lights by temp. Like if my tank temp is too high then it shuts off my lights are you able to program this? Thanks, james

yes, i did mine like this:

If Time > 09:59 Then MH1 ON
If Time > 20:30 Then MH1 OFF
If Temp > 81.4 Then MH1 OFF
If Time > 10:15 Then MH2 ON
If Time > 20:45 Then MH2 OFF
If Time > 10:30 Then MH3 ON
If Time > 21:00 Then MH3 OFF
If Temp > 80.9 Then MH3 OFF

You missed MH2

If Temp > 82.9 Then FLT OFF
Max Change 020 M Then FLT OFF
If Temp > 83.4 Then MHC OFF
Max Change 020 M Then MHC OFF
If Temp > 83.7 Then MHL OFF
Max Change 020 M Then MHL OFF
If Temp > 83.9 Then MHR OFF
Max Change 020 M Then MHR OFF

This is to leave the light off for 20 minutes, just in case the temp hovers around a set point by +- .1 degree.

Nice catch, but i did it on purpose.....that way its up to me if i choose to manually turn the last light off....didnt want to freak out the fish too much by having all lights go out.

not sure u need this, do u...dont most ballast take at least 20 min before they try to restart anyway? Thats why i didnt bother with the osc statement...i was tempted though.

It is a good idea to have the max change in there so that the ballast doesn't have frequent on/off cycle when the temperature is hovering right at the light cut off set-point.

Mine do not have that feature. I have a $1500 light strip and they cheaped out on that part
