My green staghorn is browning and it's at the tops of the tank... So either I'm burning it or it needs more light... Burning and bleaching are 2 very seperate items

If it's browning it's not bleaching. It's probably just greeting ready for a "growth spirt" it's adjusting to the UV and is putting on sun block so to speak. Give it time.

The 2 SPS in my tank that have browned are; efflo and an acro colony. The efflo is very healthy and starting to color up. It constantly has it's feelers out and good PE. The acro has really really thicken up a lot and encrusting all around the base. The color is really coming back strong too. Not as much PE yet though

I had an acan that died long long ago and it recently started come back a month ago er so. Now it's got two heads and is growing like a weed!

Love these lights

AI Hydra Settings

I purchased the AI Hydra about a week ago. After playing with the intensity settings for hours I designed a day cycle that I love. I contacted AI, and they said my settings were great. I have a 30 gallon tank and the fixture is about 8 inches from the waterline.
Here are my numbers:

Sunrise: 9:50 AM
Sunset: 7:30 PM
2 hour ramp time
White: 45%
Violet: 35%
Red: 30%
Greed: 20%
D-Blue: 40%
Royal: 40%
UV: 45%
All my corals seem to love this. I mostly have soft corals and some LPS. I cant wait to get SPS now that I have LED's instead of T-5's.

Yes, 3 is absolutely enough, apparently I just received a V2 light and they are brighter than the ones shipped for preorder, here are some pics, the left light is new and the right is 2 months old.

Clearer shot

I found the sweet spot I think... Cranked the blues to 76 whites at 15, violets at 30, reds and greens at 5 and uv at 30.... Tanks looks very nice... Still trying to figure out the whole sps losing color thing, but I also turned off my dosing pumps... So I'm lowering the alk back down to 8 where I have always kept it.

SO i contacted AI and they state;
"Thanks for the information. The Hydra that you just received with the slimmer body is the one we will be producing from now on. It is cosmetically different in the body however has not effect on performance whatsoever. The light output from the LEDs will be the same from light to light as all internal components have not changed."

So i am going to let the rock darken up as what i might have been seeing was more light reflected off of the lighter colored rocks than from the ones covered in algae.
