SCW MSX250A Protein Skimmer

I have an SCW MSX250A Protein Skimmer I bought a while back. The problem is that the pump Flo-Max 1500 went bad and when I opened it the impeller fell and broke. Is there any replacement parts that will fix because i cannot find the exact replacements or should I just invest in a new skimmer? This particular one did the job.

Thoughts?

what part of the impeller broke? Is the pinwheel part ok?

You can put a Bubble Blaster 5000 on it. Very similar to your original pump.

Thanks for your response let me look up that Bubble Blaster 5000. The pinwheel park on the propellers okay with broke is a ceramic shaft

Is the motor block bad?

The replacement for your pump is a "Laguna Max-Flo 1350". They discontinued the part number you currently have but the 1350 is the direct replacement.

The only part you will use from the replacement is the motor block and since your impeller shaft broke you will need to transfer the pinwheel impeller onto the stock impeller assembly.

Thanks I will get that ordered. You are correct the motor block is bad, it heats up and stops working.

Here's another stupid question, how do I transfer the pinwheel if it's a fixed to the ceramic shaft?

It is just press fit. Be careful prying the pinwheel off the broken magnet assembly. You cannot get these anymore, swc is long gone.
