That would be cool... but yes, definitely more extreme than I want to go this time. Maybe the last build (and teardown experience) is too fresh, but this time I want to keep things simpler with only very minor modifications to the house. Quote:
But I won't reveal if you are right just yet. Quote:
A little bit of a pain to eat with the big seeds but they are pretty yummy. Sweet but a little tartness at the same time. Quote:

UPDATE 3-30-16
More goodies are rolling in this week. Woohoo! This was the next piece of equipment to arrive. If you are familiar with my other builds, you'll know this item is a bit of a departure for me. Still need to order bulbs. Maybe once my dang tank ships!

Sexy light!
How did you like your last tank build quality? Thinking about getting a 48"x48"x24" cube. |

That'd be a powermodule. And it's sexy as hell.

Yup! Very nice looking fixture. I haven't opened the second box with the controller portion yet.

Mrs d2mini is "fine" with the shed as-is. The color was a joint decision and we already had the furniture from our last house. I don't see anything else changing right now other than some minor stuff that's more cleanup than anything else. But we do plan on re-doing the front yard which is very embarrassing at the moment.

I totally agree with you, the blue stays. Do you happen to know the specific color of it? I've been looking for one just like that but bold turquoise can go wrong very quickly

Before i laid down the paint I used Rustoleum Restore Cleaner and then I rolled on a thick coat of Rustoleum Deck Start primer.

Can't wait to see how your tank turns out. I've been playing with T5 bulbs and light settings myself. I started with too much intensity and too many white T5's. I've slowly been scaling down and changing out white T5's for other colors.
Curious to see where you end up. |

Hi Corey,
Here's my reasoning... 1. I needed something a little more sexy. 2. There's not a lot of non-led sexy out there. Geisemann is an obvious choice but this tank is a quite deep front to back so I wanted something with more than 4 t5 bulbs. One mh and 4 t5 has good spread and probably would have been ok, but I wanted to try a bit more for even better coverage. ATI is the only fixture I saw that was offering more than 4 bulbs. 3. I was never a fan of all t5 tanks due to the lack of shadows and shimmer. But I did like the coral colors that some achieved that seemed to be unique with T5 tanks. After seeing this fixture over a few tanks, it seems that the addition of the leds helps somewhat in that respect. 4. I don't want to run a chiller on this system due to the lack of space so less heat will be a nice bonus.

Did you keep your lifereef skimmer or are you going a different route?
