I watched the videos on the Spyglass and it looks pretty impressive. The design is pretty slick, and I hope you sell a million of them. This will be one of the best reactors ever!

How much clearance above the Spyglass is needed to remove the media cone?

I'm wondering how secure that gasket is since it's just pushed in.

It depends on the sump and where is placed.. As long as you can lift it away from the second chamber, and can at least tip it(how i have to do mine), you can get it out pretty easily..

But i would say probably 10" or so..

Arrrrgh! Or we'll make yee walk the plank!

/end pirate talk.

For real though, you can subscribe to a thread without posting to it, which will save all of your fellow subscribers from that false sense of hope for an Avast sale. hint, hint

Use code BF16 for 16% off everything site-wide!

It's the time of year of one of our favorite holidays here at Avast! To celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we are introducing the newest version of the Barrel Tender, our answer to the problem of efficiently managing reverse osmosis water production. With a new, clean form factor, beautiful indicator light system, simplified installation, and Neptune Apex integration options, the new Barrel Tender is a must-have for set and forget RO water automation. The best part is that we are launching the new Barrel Tender at amazing introductory preorder pricing of 40% off! This deal will only last the weekend, so get on the preorder list early!

In addition to the Tender, we are also discounting our hugely popular Spyglass media reactor by 20%!

Be sure to check out our take on the Apex Breakout Box. We wanted something more robust than the version from Neptune, so we built one with heavy duty spring clamp terminals and a separate common terminal for each input. No need to stuff a bunch of wires into one teeny screw terminal. Plus, it's even available as a kit if you want to save a few bucks!

Lastly, we are discounting everything else on our site by 16%! This is a perfect time to stock up on media or any other needed aquarium equipment.

Please Note that this sale is valid using coupon code BF16 from 12:00am Friday, November 25th until midnight Monday November 28th.

Please Note that this sale is not valid with any other coupons or discounts.

Due to anticipated high order volume, please allow a little extra time for your order to ship. If you have an urgent need for it to go out asap, please feel free to let us know by emailing us at support@avastmarine.com.

Best wishes for a Happy Thanksgiving & Holiday Season!

Dan & Justin,
Captains

Looks like this thread has been abandoned. There has been plenty of great sales since last post in November of 2016 (I have taken advantage of some). Surprised to see the manufacturer would neglect this.

Not the spyglass... probably counter productive to sell something better than their own media reactor product
