Upgrade to ~300g In-Wall

Hi guys,

I currently have a 220g mixed reef, it's been up and running for a little over 2 years now. It has gone through its ups and downs just like any tank. However, I'm doing a large basement renovation and that means the opportunity to upgrade my tank. Going to try and make it as clean and automated as possible.

I ordered a 75" x 30 x 24 from Miracle aquarium several weeks ago and it should be shipping out by next week. Also, ordered an acrylic sump from Elite Aquatics which is also shipping next week.

Many pictures to come. Will attach design specs for sump and tank as well. I welcome any comments or opinions.

This is where the tank will be going. A wall will be put up making it flush with the front of the tank. There will be ~6 feet of space behind the tank

Tyler at Elite Aquatics is almost done with the sump. Measures 48" x 30" x 24"

I currently have a reef octopus EXT-3000 on my old tank. I'm wondering if this will be enough for upgrade given that it will have close to 400g total volume?

If not, do I invest in another skimmer and run both of them at the same time?

Pretty tank and sump

Would just run that skimmer while the bioload is low.

I don't envy all the plumbing you are going to have to do!

Finished plumbing the closed loop. Here are a couple pictures of how it looks. Let me know what you guys think or any suggestions that you may have

As you can see to the left of the tank I built a stand where my sump is going to be. I tried to make the stand as big as possible. What do you guys think of everything?

Has anyone had experience running your protein skimmer off of a manifold?

Planning on having a separate external pump to run Carbon and biopellet reactors, UV, and skimmer(s).

Also any ideas on how to plump biopellet reactor directly into skimmer when using external pump to feed skimmer?

Filled the tank with RO/DI to test out the closed loop.

There ended up being a leak between the male adapter and the reeflo intake. I used teflon tape but did some research after to find its better to use paste?

Any recommendation for an external pump to run manifold? (3 reactors & protein Skimmer). Ordering the SRO-5000EXT (requires feed pump ~900 GPH)

Was thinking about just getting a panworld. Opinions/suggestions?

Slow progress. Went with the bean animal overflow. Plumbed to the sump and started to fill the rest of the tank with RO.
