Please help me set my skimmer to efficiently skim....

I am not sure how to get my skimmer to skim efficiently. I have a Skimz Octa SC1651 in a Trigger Emerald 34 sump. I, for the life of me, cannot get a consistent skimmate. How do I adjust the water level versus the airflow? What makes a wet skim versus a dry skim with the settings? My “wet” skim is always clearish green, more clear than green. I see photos of dark green....how do I pull that much?

A skimmer will vary if 1- it is working with a small bio load, lack of nutrients in the water.
2- if it too big for the system, oversize.
Set it up as the manual suggests, if water depth is too great raise the skimmer on a stand of egg crate or plexiglass.
Finer bubbles lower in the neck will help.
