Lightbulb Weird blob algae?

Can anyone help me identify what this weird blob like algae is that I have been getting recently? They seem to be pretty buoyant. They always form in these round/ball like shapes and are sometimes anchored by a short strand reminiscent of a balloon on a string.

Pictures with algae in question circled:

They sorta remind me of cotton candy actually...

What are you thinking? Dinoflagellate?

Cross ur fingers and hope not.

After some negligence with testing my RO water, I basically had to restart my class tank because of dino.

Learned my lesson

For some reason a cheap jebu UV sterilizer lights out an inordinate amount of the dinoflagellate cases

Shoot...at first I didn't think so by the looks of it. But now that it has developed even more....gosh

More pictures (hopefully more clear this time):

https://imgur.com/gallery/n1vRN

It's all over the rock and on some of the coral as well.
Maybe that is why all my mushrooms have been unhappy lately...

I guess I can only blame myself: negligence and no quarantine

So you guys think it is Dino? What's the best course of action?

Nuke the whole nano tank and start over? I was actually thinking of transferring everyone over to a larger tank...but if everything's contaminated...iono

No

All tanks have Dino’s (IMHO) it’s just when conditions are right, they flourish.

It seems dino blooms, in part, are a result of restricted biodiversity.

First and most effective in many cases is a cheep Jaebo UV sterilizer. Wipes out a lot of cases

Stop doing water changes, if you must do a water change, use a differant brand of salt.

That’s typical of Dino’s, they go into the water column in the dark and recionfigure in intense light.

Which Jaebo UV sterilizer do you use/recommend?

I actually used ozone to kill them but it seems like lots of people are using the 55W jebao depending on tank size. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Jebao-UL-Li...-/290499195698

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try the UV light.
I suppose you already had an ozone emitter on your tank so you just upped it to take out the dinos?

Close, a guy down the street sold it to me $30. It worked.
