Expired test kit
Hi
I was given a test kit and just noticed it expired July 2017. I take it the readings will not be accurate? |

The goal of a test kit is to get accurate results (I would hope). Using a test kit after its expiration date certainly would call into question any results you get, so no, I would not use an expired test kit.

Test kits are notorious for going bad and becoming inaccurate

I would order another one to get positive and accurate results.

I have used test kits that have been expired many times... one even as far as 3+ years past its date and they were still reading correctly when compared to other non-expired test kits..
But that doesn't mean they always will/do and could just be luck From my experience though they stay accurate enough long after they have expired..

Keep the old kits. Get new kits and test both back to back. Compare results. If identical they are still good.
