I think I finally rid my biocube of them... I just carefully figured out what rock they were coming from and removed the rock. Put it in a small container of saltwater until the worm came out and died... I was never able to find either of the recommended cone species :/

The likelihood that all the worms were in one rock or that you only had one single worm is very low. Keep an eye out, there are most likely many more hiding around

Well, if you have a bunch of small ones, C. regius might actually be able to take care of them. Conus vexillum can eat ones as big around as your ring finger, but they eat them 4 or 6 inches at a time. Whether they eat a section of the worm, and the rest of the worm recovers, is still unanswered as far as I know.

Yeah I took out rocks every time I saw one and haven’t see them for a while so I’m hoping they’re gone

Has anyone found a place to purchase Conus regius? I've manually removed about 40 fulgida worms, but I still see a number of small ones that I haven't been able to catch yet. Having something munching on them in kind would help keep their numbers in check.

Still looking if anyone has a source for them. Or if they're illegal to purchase, let me know and I'll stop asking!

Try emailing Reeftopia. They're the only place I knew that stocked them.

If anyone else is going down this road, olemiss_reb was dead on. Emailed reeftopia, they're not listed on the site but they said they could get some the next time they had good weather for diving.

That’s good to know how much are they?

Big surprise... I haven’t completely gotten rid of them and I am still looking for a conus regius or whatever other species can take care of them. I’m afraid to put anything at all in my biocube right now because of these fulgida aholes. It’s a perfect tank for mantis shrimp but I’ve already lost three to the worms ;(
