I have a mushroom coral for 3 weeks and was doing great till today . I came back from work and it was all like dry ! i saw in a video that if it is close to Zoanthas they can kill it so i moved it a way . any advice how to care for it so I can get it back in good shape?
Thank you |

I have quite a few mushrooms next to zoas and they don't seem to bother eachother. Could be something with your water parameters causing the issue.

The larger zoas (paly's) can be full of palytoxin and can harm things near them.
We can only keep large paly's that are full of poison thanks to the flame angelfish. The other kinds taste too good. Has your mushroom spread out again? Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Do the mushrooms have small white tentacles coming out of their mouths? If so they can sense there's a nearby coral and want to kill it for space.
