Darth_Tater's First Anemone
I had a baby Purple LTA (M. Doreensis) delivered from Diver's Den on Tuesday (5 days ago). It's about 3" diameter. Put it in a 20 long that used to be a display fuge for my 40 breeder.
About 4" of sand, a Tunze 6025 (about 740 gph) that's highly deflected, and a ViparSpectra LED a couple feet above it. The thing dug right in where I put it and hasn't moved. Chows right down on mysis shrimp. Hopefully it's happy! I will wait a bit before I add a pair of clowns. Would like a pair of Lightning Maroons, but may go with Clarkiis since they're a natural host. How big should I let it get before adding clowns? So I'm wondering what to look for to verify it's happy with the lighting and flow. I put it in a pretty calm area. Feedback would be great!

Looks well planted and that looks about right for placement, they seem to like ledgey area so they can pull in/out of light and flow is kinda deflected.
Let it settle in a month or so maybe would be my call. I don't it matters which of the two species of clowns you choose as both will go to it, though it is still kinda nice to have a natural match. Looks good so far.

It'll grow pretty big, so you just may have to upgrade lol, but it looks happy so far. Btw, I really like your aquascape/coral placement. Nice use of room and rock.

It looks nice and well settled. Very beautiful anemone. I would wait till it gets about 5 inches.

Thanks all! Guess I'll just give it some time and see how it goes.

I added some chaeto to the HOB filter you can kind of see in the corner to try to take care of that algae. Hopefully it works out.
