I use eweatherhd to get uv intensitiesfor the day and I try to set it accordingly, that being said, my uv starts at about 8am and ramps up to 55% at around 10:30am, from there it goes to 65% until midday, then it holds 65 until 2:30pm and then starts going down until about 7pm. Nothing burned.

Basically we have the same tank dimensions.
How many hydras do you have?
And let's see a pic of yours.

Looks real good!
Like how you aquascaped.
Can't believe you have those intensities with no issues with bleaching .

Thank you!! It's an ongoing process lol

Ya no issues at all. Don't know why people run into to many issues. My corals are all growing very fast

Gtegrocks, so I'm in panic mode... I have a 65 tall... 2 hydras.... I get so many reactions to my intensities, that I don't know what to do...
Hydras have to be a good light..l better than my ecoxotics right? I'm losing sps like crazy... Lfs says that I'm burning everything, but yet I'm not bleaching anything.... Everything is browning....

Should I go ahead and crank things up? Right now my reds and greens are 10, blues 65, whites 19, violet 19 and uv 2...

They say the uv is killing things... But I'm wondering if I just don't have enough light

Hmm kinda hard to say. Can be so many things than just lights. Browning can be a sign of many things. Regarding lights, it could be putting on sunblock so to speak. They have to get used to the UV. What lights did you have before?

Bleaching can definitely be signs of dying

I've has my lights to many settings best results is what I have em on now. My tanks 17" tall and the lights are 11" from the water. My tank is thriving and my water parameters are spot on too

You could try one of our higher settings we posted and turn on acclimation of about 20% and clouds to also give coals a break through out the day

Yeah, at this point I'm willing to try anything. Just turned whites to 60 red and greens to 10, blues to 95 and uv to 30 with a 2 week 20% mode on

Old lights were panorama pros 36. 2 actinics and 1 marine

Ok... Will do.... It's crazy you are running the uv so high... Also... Does the violet have a negative effect?
