Bird's Nest Disintegrating in real time

It showed no bleaching 2 days ago. This has happened in 36 hours (30% gone, and I mean white as bone). At this rate, it will be completely white in another 2 days.

I added some Reef Buffer which raised Alkalinity a little too high over the past month. Alkalinity is a little high (KH 10.5, Alkalinity 3.76).

Thoughts? Same thing wiped out a torch coral 3 days ago.

RTN for the (win)(loss). Pulled it, fragged it. Never experienced anything like it.
