First Reef Show/ Swap Questions
I’m going to my first reef show/swap this weekend and we are staying over night. Will the corals I potentially buy on Saturday be ok over night in a cooler?
Thanks

Most corals travel long distances in bags from the collection sites. So, yes they can survive bagged for an extended period.
That being said, keeping them in a cooler without heat and circulation/gas exchange overnight will unnecessarily stress them. Best bet, IMO, is to pay for them on Saturday and pick them up on Sunday, or just buy them on Sunday. Generally better deals on Sunday anyway, as the vendors don't necessarily want to pack it all up and cart it back to their shop. FWIW, Kevin

We weren’t planning on going to the show on Sunday. Would it be better to bring a 5g bucket, heater, oxygen pump or small powerhead, and bring some of my tank water?
