Hippocampus Hystrix?
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone here has some experience keeping Hippocampus Hystrix? I just saw them become available online. I have never seen them available for sale in the US before. Anybody have any success with these? |

I had one, it's about that time and season actually. Here in LA we've found some but not lately

Hi TJ,
Thanks for the reply! Did you find it to be a difficult species to keep? |

Where are you finding them?
I had a bunch of them but they didn't stay on frozen mysis for long. I ended up getting live foods and then they quickly became sickly and all died. I would recommend getting them as big as you can, as I've only found them coming in at a small size and I think that contributed to their quick decline in health. |

Hi Mo2,
I see them currently available on Blue Zoo Aquatics. They are selling "medium" sized ranked between 2.5" - 4.5." I am sorry to hear you lost yours and that they would not stay on frozen mysis. That certainly makes me think twice about buying them. |
