So, I brought home a nice big live rock from the LFS the other day, I'm watching it in my qt for a couple days before it goes into my brute as seed for my new Marco rocks.
In the meantime, it's been fun to watch. Has some nice macro algae, lots of pods, some sort of small clam and more. The weird one is some kind of worm. Lives in a hole or tube in the rock, and extends out to graze over the rock around the mouth of it's hole. It extends out at least an inch. It's dark brown, and smooth skinned like an earthworm (not ribbed). It actually looks much like the snout of a Nassarius snail. Very reactive to light, it goes back in the hole with a quickness! What is it? |

Any idea what these are (if anything)?
The rocks have only been in my tank for about 2 days now and I'm starting to be able to tell what is and isn't rock. The pictures are zoomed in and kinda grainy. It's hard to see but they are red in color and clearly not part of the rock. |

It's zoomed in as far as my iPhone6 will zoom. The one in the middle picture is sticking out about 1/4". They are all about the size of a standard pencil eraser.

I found this spider web like material on my live rock. The tank has been established since January 2015. I have not ever noticed it move or get larger. It does not light up under the actinics. I also gave it a poke with my tweezers and it felt soft and fragile. The spot is approximately the size of a quarter. Any ideas what it could be?

Please help identify I have two hitchhikers in the same she'll I think one is a bristle worm, should I leave him? The other comes out of a hole in the side of the shell slowly opens like a flower than if startled closes and hides super fast. What are they and should I leave them?

Stomatella or limpet possibly, hard to tell from the picture but the one on the left looks like that and if they all look the same then that's probably what they are. Get a closer and clearer picture to be sure. Both and great cuc

yellow slug?
Hey guys. First if I'm posting this in the wrong place please let me know. Second. I have found some slug, or something attached to a zoa frag. 2 to be exact. I have not put them in the tank and was hoping if you could tell me what they are, and if they are good or bad. Thank you all in advanced for the help. It was one of the more interesting things i have seen in the hobby.

Pix & ID: Critters that come in your rocks: the good and the bad.
It's a nudibranch. Some of them eat zoas, but I would wait
For someone else to comment or Google nudibranch identification or something along those lines to figure out which species you have |

What is this guy? I caught him off the coast of sc in the marshes. I know it's a pistol that lost its big claw, but I'm curious as to what species it is.
