thank-you. That date is a typo, it should say 8/06. So that tank is a year and a half old now. I don't add anything to my tank. I just do 20% water changes every 2 weeks. I have done just water changes to my tanks since the mid 90's. I use to add chemicals and additives, but stopped for a while and didn't see any change in the corals ( soft corals ). But I did see a change for the better when I started doing good sized water changes on a consistant basis. So water change, suck out the detritus in the sump and clean the skimmer every two weeks.

Thanks crabbejoe! I really like softies. I've owned LPS and SPS in the past but I really prefer softies. They are not colorfull as hard coral, but I like their movement and their fast spread. My favorite are definitly the leathers. I own a lot of big one in my tank, so, I have to run carbon 24/7 to avoid chemical war. But that was so beautiful and relax...
When I talk about my tank with others reefer of my area, anyone don't seem to understand why I only have softies. It has a kind of prejudice about softies. Because they are easy to keep, a lot of people think that they are begginer corals and that when you get experience, you have to switch to hard coral...IMO, their is nothing beautiful than a field of softies!:-)

Why would I want to switch to colored sticks? I have done some cuttings of my green sinularias for other reefers and they have found some of them are not that easy to grow. |

that is a great looking tank. Very well done. A word of caution, I see you like zoanthids, that hippo tang may someday decide it likes them too.

My tank looks lame in comparison to some of you guys'. But mine has a shark and a stingray . I have an open sand bed with a reef in the corner for the shark. If you look on the right you can see her reflection. I just started this whole reef deal a couple monthes ago; I have always been predators until now.
