Cuke in Overflow

So I am gonna skip the long background.

Bottom line is a very large cucumber ended up in my overflow. Intenal overflow on back glass with 2 drains 2 returns. SPS dominated tank.

Problem? Why?

If so, how to fix?

Installing a custom made eggcrate cover should help prevent anything large from entering your overflow again.

I'd never use eggcrate. Far toouch obstruction of light. Mesh is far better.

The question wasn't about how to prevent.

Yes it could be a problem if the cucumber is of the sand eating variety, if its a filter feeder then it should be fine. If the cucumber dies it could* release toxins that might potentially harm other inhabitants. This is not something that is a guarantee though
