I had a fan not working, I was told to remove the end opposite the display to check the center connection. It had come off.
That is where I would start, the center sections will move in the slot. I was NOT able to remove the power cord so that could be a stumbling block. Adam may be able to clear things up if you don't want to try first.

Ok so i am having a issue were my fixture is burning my coral the tank is a 80 gallon 48x24x16 the fixture is a 4' 260 model and it is sitting roughly 8-9 inches above the water. I currently have the fixture maxing out blue and royal at 50% and white maxing at 15% for 2-3 hours a day on a 13 hour schedule. I am hoping that someone else has experience with shallow tanks and this light.

Drop it back to a 10 hour schedule & see if that helps.
You may have to go even higher being it is a shallow tank.

Start with the shorter period.

Only one I found was $120 shipped. I'm going to just try a zigbee USB and see if I can get that to work.

Thanks but $106 is still a bit steep for a USB. I appreciate the effort, just looking for a more economical solution !

Have no idea what a new one costs but you can ask.

Hey all!!
I have an extra v stick, if anyone is looking for one. I bought a used light and it came with a vstick, and I already owned a vstick. So it's up for grabs. I'm thinking 60.00 plus shipping? Still in original box, I've never used it. But it was used by previous owner, I'm sure. |

Need some help.
My 5 year old SR 260, 48" long has decided it wants to program itself. Well, what happened is that the ramp up was starting at noon, hitting full program at 4 PM, starting ramp down at 2AM and was off at 6AM. Here is what I have found and here is what I have done. -program was not what I loaded. (totally bizarre settings) Reloaded old good saved program, light updated and it seemed to take the correct program and be OK. Except it wasn't. The program was good, just when it loaded up the light, the timing was still off. -checked settings. Clock had gone off schedule by about 8 hours. Reset clock. No change. Time would not update to correct time. -changed on board battery. What a pain! Not only are the screws really soft and some stripped, but holy pia! If anyone needs to know, the battery is behind the control panel and is a CR1216 3v battery. -no change with new battery, clock was still wrong -updated software to the latest version that I am using on the other Vertex lights -no change -rebooted light (unplugged light) -no change -reloaded a program that I knew was good -the light still thinks it is Jan 00 2000 at 00:01 (or 00:48 or 2:56 depending on when I looked at the light) I even tried to 'fake' the light into thinking the time was correct by setting the programming 8 hours ahead (the difference between real time and light time) Nothing. Nada. So for now, I am running most of my programming as Moon Light mode with no day time programming. It's not really working but it's the closest I can do. Any thoughts? yes, brand new battery. Right out of the package. Yes, it was installed right side up. This just happened a few days ago, and I suppose in one sense it really doesn't matter if the clock doesn't know what the actual time is, as the light program still worked, just 8 hours off actual time, except this tank light happens to be within view of the bedroom and it's making me crazy as it keeps me awake at night. |
