Coral Frag Workshop 3-24-18

It's that time of year again everyone. We will be holding our annual coral fragging workshop at Elmer's Aquarium on March 24th 5:00pm - 8:00pm
We have allocated more money than any year in the past to make this event better than all those prior. There will be many different types of coral to suit every level of hobbyist. We will demonstrate the safe and proper way of making coral fragments. At the end of the demonstration we will offer them al up for the raffle. Ticket are just $1 and we will have $100 ticket packs available as well. This is open to the general public and we hope to see everyone there soon. Please be advised that it will be standing room only and please avoid parking in front of or directly next to Elmer's. Thank you

I'm still going to get a couple grand worth of coral. I already have a bunch, so I really hope everyone comes or the rest of us who are there are going to be very happy!

Well, there will be a ton of coral up for grabs, that much is certain.

Planning to be there if my recovery from surgery goes well. One of my other hobbies broke me.

Since I cant seem to get any higher level Acros to thrive in my tank currently - Dibbs on the Elegace and the Goniopora, oh.. and the Fat head Blastomussa, and the... , and the -- LOL. Should be a heck of a workshop with lots of corals to go around for everyone.

Hey guys, I have a snyder weaver blenny which is a cool fish but turned out to be too mean for the seahorse tank. I was gonna donate him to Elmers but then thought maybe he could be raffled instead. What do you think? Here is a pic

That's a cool fish. I'd buy him or trade you something if you don't want to just donate it back to Elmer's.

Yeah, that is a bummer, but 50 or 60 other people didn't miss it. We had people come from other states for it even! There were close to 400 frags/mini colonies raffled off! There is always next year or maybe again in the fall.

Hey Ivan, let me know how Whiplash settles in. I forgot to ask if your tank is covered because when he is nervous he can be a jumper. Hopefully he isn't going to go carpet surfing!

If he is a sand sifter - I would also be interested in him.

He is not a sand sifter, in fact he is not even a true blenny. They are also known as sand perch. Anyway I gave him to Ivan at the club meeting last night and Ivan traded a coral to me. Whiplash should be very happy in Ivan's tank.

Thank you very much for the fish. He's going through TTM before I add him to the display. I'm trying to be extra cautious. My tank is fully covered (TTM buckets too), so carpet surfimg shouldn't be an issue.
