launchnukes' reefer 750 xxl build

I've been out of the hobby for a few years now after taking down my 300dd/500 gal system in 2013.

Previous Build Thread: http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...t=launchnukes+

I got the itch to get back into the hobby and finally decided to pull the trigger again. I currently don't have a spot for a fish room so I wanted a tank that would give me space to have fun but not too big to maintain without a fish room. After seeing a few of the red sea reefers I decided to go with the 750xxl in white.

Tank got delivered on Monday and more items are on the way!

Tank arrived yesterday 4.30.18

unboxing

Now i've gotta get some guys to help me get it in the house

Good choice, now more info on that Gallardo in the background.

I have a 2004 360 Spider, so we have similar tastes in hobbies.

Where you worried when they did not check which color stand you were getting?

Haha. Yeah. I opened The box to check right away. Then I realized The box on top has the cabinet door pieces and said white somewhere on it.

Good eye! Love the 360 spider, it was one of my favorite cars for years...and still is. Timeless body style

The Gallardo is a 2009 LP560-4 eurocharged and rsc exhaust.

GHL Flex arms for the Mitras have finally arrived. assembled and mounted last night. Very impressed with the quality of the GHL stuff. now i've just gotta hide the wires and get the tank on the stand and the plumbing can begin!

Was there a tank in those pictures. Only saw the Gallardo... but not enough of it. :0) I'm looking for a first gen with gated manual actually. May be next year but it's hard not to keep an eye out.

Yes, the LP are definitely a sleaker look and have more power. I'm actually driving one next weekend so definitely looking forward to that. There are two things that draw me to the gen 1; 1) most of the gate manuals are gen 1, 2) they are commonly found under $90k. :0)

went to the Bahamas for a week and came back to a pile of goodies at the front door. just need to get the plumbing finished and i'll be ready for water.

after taking a closer look at the plumbing i decided that the gravity fed tank that came with the redsea reefer wasn't going to work for me. after much thought i decided to go with a tunze osmolator and pick up a lower profile ATO reservoir that i could fit in the stand and still have room. i found a great option and think it'll work great. Also, I have another 6105 coming but i guess it was out of stock.

8.5 Gallon ATO Reservoir from Advanced Acrylics
