where to find a 'good' elegance

Hi,

Where can I find a good healthy elegance, that is not likely to die for 'no reasoo'. I know 'aussie' used to be reliable, not so much anymore. Or, maybe some are called that but are not.

**I have one that will likely die soon. It somehow was partially crushed a few months ago, possibly when I rearranged the rock work :-/. It grew about 3-4X it's mass from what I got it 1 1/2 years ago. So I'm pretty sure I can keep one, just a matter of finding the right one, and me not being careless again.

TY!

Thanks for the two good sources. There is one on pacificaqua.. but not opened, and isn't marked as aussie.. Austin has two.. one looks really nice. I dont know if it's their lighitng, but the tentacles are suuupppper pink. Says 6".. but I'd say 4 maybe, so it's not big. but it jsut looks realllly good. And with all that said, really good price.
Though I did just order one from LA. It looks really good also.
here's the one from Austin: https://www.austinaquafarms.com/prod...talaphyllia-2/

The one I ordered last night I attached.

Orion -- the colors on those elgance there, there's another wiith very red flesh. Do you think that's a reality? I'm really impressed by the color and the shape (convoluted, not just a round ellipse). Pacific looks good also.. but 'm really drawn into austin aqua

I don’t think you should consider the flesh RED. It is normal brown color under white light likely heavy with actinic blue.
All that said Austin Aqua Farm always have healthy corals and clams at good price. Elegance require low light and fairy low current. High light will stress them a lot.
The egg crate is the standard 1/2 inch grids

TY orion
Long time ago (1988-1993) when I had a little reef then I was able to keep elgance really easy happend to be under I THINK 80 watts total daylight + actinic HO fluorescent. Just a 20 gallon tank. It grew well, just kalk drip , but also with KSM and liquid gold from Thiel. << that's branching off subject though!. If I get one ,I'll flip a coin on which one .. if they are still there when I make up my mind :-D

TTYYY again orion. (ritteri is still happy -- so it seems!).

The one from LA I got is about dead. THey advertise as easier than the jakarta, etc.. If they are from australia, they are not the 'easy' ones. My other one is right next to the new dying one, my other one is donig better and better day by day, actually seems to be gorwing from where it was doing bad from its injuries. I will be trying out austin once they get a few more in stock. If that one is bad too, then maybe I'm just lucky with the one I have and my tank can't normally keep an elegance (???). << the one I have now is from cherrycorals btw!

Here is one I had almost 15 years ago. I eventually did lose it and was devastated. I have never tried one again.. Are these ones today maintaining health over time? Always loved them but after losing one I never tried again.
