Can anyone ID?

My mom picked this coral up at an expo and has no idea what it is. Thankfully everything else she got was labelled and she ended up with some nice beginner corals. The Guy there told her what it was, but all she remembers is that it was a "false something or another".

Any ideas? I appreciate the help and I hope this is in the right subforum.

Now that I've figured this out, I need to decipher how Ive gone from a simple fish tank to a box of salty water containing colorful animals, with more electrical components than an ICU patient.

Current Tank Info: 20G long (Drop) it may be just a drop of the ocean but its my drop and I love it!

It's been a long time since I've kept softies, but it looks like a colt coral to me.
