Thanks Chris, hang in and be very very patient as there are some really neat things to come. My intention is to incorporate the fish room fully into the display environment. There's a considerable amount of magic to come from this imagineer!

Your humility in this process is what I have enjoyed the most, that and the humor, that is classic.

You ahve heard it said enough, an amazing build, the best I can offer is...

I've been quietly following Chingchai's build thread for quite some time now and always been amazed at the care and time he has taken through out his build to personally reply to each and every post made in his thread. I applaude you as well for following in his footsteps in this regard for taking the time to do the same thing. It was through Chingchai's post saying that he has been watching a friends build thread that I found yours Peter and for that I thank Chingchai. If it wasn't for that post I may have missed out on being able to read one of the best and biggest build threads for a local reefer I've ever come across. As it has been said many times before...Simply Amazing. From articles written in local newspapers like the Toronto Star, Hamilton Spectator and a handfull of others I was under the belief that the Ripley's Believe it or not Aquarium was going to be built at the base of the CN Tower, I'm glad to see that the new location has been moved to Oakville....lol
Now it's even closer to Hamilton.
Thanks for sharing your top notch setup with the reefing community of the world.

Incredible build Peter!
Your thread has made me realize there are a lot of reef keepers in our area on this site.
I hope you belong to a local club and that one day you could host a meeting.
Looking forward to seeing some of the fishroom pics.

Nick

After seeing your pictures of the basement, I am in AWE. I can't imagine what it would look like with fish and a reef in there, but i am excited to find out. My wife usually doesn't care about forums, but i showed her this thread and she keeps asking me if there is anything to show her. This thread and your build is also helping me to get our tank (a humble 55g) up and running quicker. She doesn't complain as much when i come home with new "toys" for the fish tank. Thanks!

Thank you Makenna, I think the humor is what helps most of us keep perspective when we most need it in this hobby.

Your offer is accepted......Welcome aboard.

Thank you dainiusiva. I hope I only need the luck once or twice otherwise this should be just commitment and hard work to keep it moving forward.

FloformAustria, I appreciate your enthusiasm. before we get to the 'inside' we have to complete the process for the outside then the fish room will take up most of the next chapter...... followed by a period of optomization of the operating processes before we deploy the Live Rock and sand. Then there will be a lengthy chapter on corals....fish, fish oh yeah fish next.

No Vic it's reclaimed chestnut of significant age. You canNOT use radient heat so you need very good HVAC in the 'basement' to avoid the typical basement feel and experience. My goal was to avoid feeling like a basement at all costs.

Wow!. Now that is slick. Your whole house looks like something out of the lifestyles of the rich and famous. Great modifications to the house especially the stairway. This tank is going to be inspiring for sure.

What an inspiring build and basement (whole house actually). I think the different themes are going to be great in this tank.
