Just Curious about a Mandarin Goby

I have a Mandarin and I really enjoy him. He is doing very well however he has exhibited a strange behavior.

I introduced a new food into the tank a little while ago and while I was watching I witnessed this strange behavior.

I put in Frozen Octopus as a treat and some escaped the onslaught of my happy carnivores and he happened on to it.
He spread out all his fins and then started in on that little piece like no ones business. He was very aggressive towards it. He kept pecking it like it stole something. It was amazing, I have seen happy to eat something but this was crazy.

Just wondering, is this was actual joy to have this to eat or if he really hates it. He ate it of course and he does the same thing every time I put it in there, which is like one a week.

He does not eat any of the other food I put in (Brine Shrimp, Myssis, Rod's Food, etc..) PODs he goes for, Rotifers when he finds them.. and now Octopus :-)

Any thoughts?

My thought is, that's awesome! And you need to take some video!

Yep. Mine loves octopus! He grabs any piece he can get. It isn't a great picture, but here he is swimming away with his prize.

Guess I'm going to have to try some octopus. Is there a fish food that is octopus or do you buy from a fish market?
