Most big socks have a plastic ring on them. They still machine wash well. Toss em in by themselves. They only bang around a little.

I am eventually going to only use them after water changes for a day. They catch too many pods etc...

Got my advance acrylic ato tank today. Nice piece! Thanks biz!

Yes! Perfect fit in the cabinet. Need to get a float switch with longer cables in it, and I may put a led puck on the lid to see the upper level.

I have a 40 I'll sell you.

Better stay in tomorrow. Traffic is gonna be horrible!

Already ran my IM 40g socks through the wash on gentle cycle and cold only twice now. So far so good.

You must have made a good impression! Now we must pay for it with a weekend of pure he$$.
This won't mean much to people away from the tri state area, but they are calling Camden NJ the Gateway to the Pope. I can't stop laughing about that.
Sometimes comedy writes itself... I can't wait for John Oliver's show this week. He's gonna have a field day.

Just received the fusion 30/40 filter socks for my 40. Wow what a difference in water clarity. I have a bag of CP in the bottom of one sock and will end up only using these socks after maintenance/WC. I plan on buying the custom caddys soon. If anyone is on the fence about getting these socks pull the trigger! The water doesn't flow over the sock frame it all flows through the sock, unlike the media baskets that IM includes in the tank purchase.

I have a Falcos hawkfish, ocellaris clown, yellow watchman goby paired with a tiger pistol shrimp, various snails/crabs and various sps and lps corals. The three fish I have are awesome together but if the hawkfish or the clown decide to swim near the YWG spot he lets them know lol.

Got water everything up and running sunday night. Lots of established sand, water and rock. A bunch of starfish, limpets, a mini carpet and a paly hitchhiked on one of the pieces of rock. Threw some hermits and a sandsifter snail in today. Running a cheapo 3w e27 rgb led at the moment, until i get the kessil.

Here's a FTS:

My return pump housing was cracked on arrival. Customer service at IM proved to be the level of quality I came to expect after reading all the reviews. Top notch.

Just threw in a mix-n-match kit from IPSF today. Gotta say Gerald's communication is top notch too. I sent him an email on saturday asking for confirmation on shipping schedules and had a response within 30 minutes. Very good communication. Packaging was thorough - everything triple bagged and labeled clearly, all livestock arrived alive (except for one or two amphipods), insulative styrofoam boarding cut to fit the box and everything was packed in nice and tight to avoid shifting. Very pleased.

Looking to run both carbon and gfo soon. Planned on running both in one reactor so I purchased the Minimax mid size. Now I'm thinking, do any of you run two desktop size Minimax, one for carbon and one for gfo?

I didn't care for the minimax reactors. I run a 2 little fishies phosban150 reactor and mix carbon and gfo

I run the minimax mid and it works great depending on the purpose. I did not like using it for GFO because the gfo would come out because the sponges are to open. I switched to phosguard in the reactor with carbon and it works great.

I ran the mid for about a year with gfo and then took it off line to get more of natural filtration with micro aglae. You could run two mini, maybe a little slower flow rate, but don't see an issue
