Yea just see how it goes. Just watch and make sure they don’t bleach out. Maybe go 2 inches this week and 2 more next week?

Mine are 12" off the water and the tank is 24" deep and everything looks happy and doing well.

Just lowered mine to 8 inches, t-5 and halide 250w. If you lower your lights in an established tank make sure you increase your feeding, helps avoid bleaching.

I have the 48" Aquatic Life Hybrid fixture over my 75g, started at 8" off the water surface but found it was in the way when working in the tank. Moved it up to 11" now and gives me more room to work with.
