best float switch for apex

what is the best float switch for apex bob.i see price 1.79 to 30 dollar.which do u recommed?plz provide link if possible.

I use several of these. They are Madisons but with mount and a connector on the end.

They have a single shielded wire coming out of the switch. The wire is epoxy sealed. It has a 3.5mm plug tip which goes right into my custom breakout box. It includes a bracket that it snaps into with suction cups. I run a pair of them for my ATO. Both have to close to turn it on. I removed the suction cups and epoxied to magnet cleaners. 2 Per cleaner. I have another pair for high sump level and low sump level alarms. Having them on the magnet cleaners allows me to raise and lower my self level as I see fit. Not that I do that often.

As I said in the post above, I removed the suction cups from the brackets and epoxied the brackets to the magnet. Once the epoxy was set, I snapped the float switch back onto the brackets that were epoxied to the magnet.

For reference, here is what the float switch and it's bracket look like when unassembled. The float switch is mounted to a small bracket. That bracket snaps into the included suction cup mount. Suction cups aren't terribly reliable so I removed the suction cups and epoxied the mount to the magnet. I did however use the suction cups for my fail safe float switches for a few years and they did hold fine but I wouldn't trust my ATO float switches mounted with suction cups. All my switches are now mounted via the magnet scubbers.

The switch snaps onto the mount.

The lower bracket/mount in this photo with the suction cups is what I epoxied to my magnet scrubbers.

I use old pill bottles. Drill a hole in top and put float in works great

Can you please explain. How does the pill bottle keep the switch from floating up? I would think pill bottles would float also. .

The DIY I posted is the easiest and most user friendly; except it isn't the cheapest. But it works beautifully on my setup; I use 3 floats. Low-float to signal when the drain pump for my AWC needs to stop; normal-level float for my desired water level and high-level float for my alarm.

I can adjust them at will with just a screw of the nut and it takes up very little footprint. Looks really professional to boot, IMHO.
