Hydra 26 vs Kessil 360we

Hello,
I currently have 2 kessil 360we and need a third light to fill in my 6ft tank. But I’m getting worried with seeing some stories that kessil aren’t as good as hydras. I’m on the fence on either buying another kessil or sale these 3 month old and go with hydras.

Note I was previously using 3 250 MH and the electric bill was too much.

If you have succes stories with kessil please also share. I want to stay because the shimmer effect is unbeatable.

If you run kessils, keep them turned way down and all or mostly blue with some t5s in the hood to avoid shadows.

I have a 26 on my cube and its good but I added t5's to the mix to get less shimmer. Kessils are a well made light the only issue I have with them is their dense matrix technology all the leds are from a single small area. Unlike the Hydra thats spread out the leds. Now I will say the the dense matrix will blend the colors better then spreading them out.

IMO if you are happy with the Kessils you already have then stick with them they are a quality light.

Honestly, if it weren't for shimmer there would be no reason to buy a 360.

I do not have a hydra but i got a Radion G4 and before a Kessil 360 WE the shimmering of the kessil is beautiful but i do not get more than that just great coloring but not growing now with the Radion its better coloration - growing , so no way to go back to Kessil

Appreciate all the inputs. Radions are just out of my budget right now. The wife will kill me at this point. Maybe I should go with the combination of hydra at the center and kessils at the ends? Apparently it seems there’s just have to be a sacrifice somewhere. Side by side in the display I like the looks of the kessil better hence i purchase these initially. I just need further convincing into either direction.
