Hello
We apologize for small delay - now waiting is over.
Application for Android and compatible firmware are ready to download:
http://pacific-sun.eu/shop/dosing-st...rmwaresoftware

There is short manual how it should be done - it should take up to 5-10 minutes and can be done wireless(firmware update can be also performed from phone).

@bemofunny
Sorry for late reply.
There is new procedure of calibration - it's very easy.
You need to prepare any flask/glass for water collect.
1. Choose pump number.
2. Click "Start calibration" button.
3. using syringe measure how many ml was added to glass/flask..
4. Put that information to proper place("Measured liquid amount").
5. Click Save button.

Thats all - I think that there is no easier procedure than this one ;-)
The same will be included in newest Mac OS and Windows software.

Thank you Przemek,

Any ETA for when Mac OS version is available? I can't wait to try out the super easy new calibration procedure!

Thanks,

Well, I finally have to buy an Android tablet to use the new software that is supposed to have a big UX/UI improvement. However, I am running into the following issues and hoping if anyone here has a similar problem:
  1. A few weeks ago, my display stopped showing anything but my ATO was still working so I just didn't bother to figure what happen.
  2. Today I am trying to update the firmware from 1.7a to 1.7.9 version using Mac Firmware Uploader ver.1.8. I kept having CRC error. Follow the instruction, check Rescue mode, doing hard reset, and even turning off the unit and wait for a few min. before turning back on. Still can't update the firmware
Any idea?

Trying to decide if update or not.

For those that have done the update how is the new software working?

Thanks in advance.

It took me at least 5 times until I successfully updated the firmware with new firmware update software. Now that new firmware installed I can use android app, and the app is great, everything seems to be working fine. Haven't tried new calibration procedure but I'm happy with the app. Now I just wish that could finally finish and release new Diuna app that would actually work like this one

Hi Akela,

Could you tell me if you are using Mac or Windows to update the firmware and which version? Thanks!

I was using Windows 10 home, 64-bit. But like I said, it took me few times until I was able to successfully install it. I moved my laptop as close to doser as possible and just kept trying to install over and over, and finally it worked

I wish you luck because it's so much easier to use phone instead of turning laptop every time you need to do something with the doser. The app works great!!!

It took me few times to try before I finally managed to upgrade firmware version of my Kore 5th. It turned out that main reason for CRC error in my case was laptop going into screen saver mode during update. It probably reduces voltage when in screen saver mode. Android app works like a dream. I only wish it also show you current temperature and had "disconnect" button to safely close connection with Kore 5. It happened once that when I finished programming Kore 5 via Android app, doser worked fine but display showed some chinese characters- same like when you don't click disconnect button in Windows software.

Hello
Thank you for nice feedback - we are glad to see how good that app is reviewed by our Customers.
Now we have small update for you - it's added digital temperature sensor read(with lowest and highest values) and also Disconnect button(you need to push button longer when Disconnect text appear on the button).
Firmware link:
http://www.pacific-sun.eu/pliki/kore_5th_1.7.92.bin
Software link:
http://www.pacific-sun.eu/pliki/Kore5th.app.1.21.apk

PLEASE REMEMBER about using dedicated firmware update app(don't do update using control software).

Thank you Przemek. This was a super quick response to my wish! Can't see any other company doing that for their customers.

I have made some changes and other priorities have come up. I have a white one, I believe it's not the pro that I can sell. Never used brand new. It seems to be listed for 479 on eBay. I can do 380.

I finally got the latest firmware updated to my Kore 5th. phew!! Thanks to the hint from @intheshadow about the screensaver. Although in my case it's not about the screensaver, but it gave me some idea to solve mine. So here was what I did in case this could help others:
  1. I first removed Kore 5th device from my Mac Bluetooth, then rediscovered and connected
  2. Of course, have my Mac very close to the Kore 5th doser as others had suggested
  3. Then run PSunFlash, Click Settings, make sure choose the right device port then hit Apply. It should tell you if it's connected
  4. Next Click Firmware, Open the latest firmware then click Update. In my case, I also check Rescue mode
  5. Now this is a very important step in my case. Do not touch anything on your computer. I was worried that screensaver would come on even though I changed it to be much longer. So I click on PSunFlash header and that was when I got CRC error every single time.
The new software from Android is much much better than the previous version. Kudo to Pacific-Sun that really listened to customers feedbacks and implemented those enhancements especially the procedure to Calibrating Dosing Pumps is now super easy. The interface is very streamlined now, gone away with some complex settings and annoying notifications everytime you click Set or Read. However, there are few things that didn't make it to this version which is important to my use cases:
  1. I don't see where I can name my pump channels. No big deal but it was there in the previous version which is nice
  2. I am dosing some trace elements and required to be dosed every other day. I don't see that option. Would this be in the next release?
I will test out my AWC this weekend and report back my findings.
Cheers,

Please be patient - new bigger firmware release is coming soon - with stirrer control, week days programming and setting names for channels(liquid names).
Thank you for feedback again!

Wow I'm mildly impressed!

Great android app, makes making small changes to the doser much much easier.

We will have some surprising news on Macna ;-)
I can't say too much, you know - competitors have eyes around the head so we need to be very careful .
I feel that it will be very interesting and hot news.
We plan start preorders in Autumn so close after Macna show end .
