custom refugium
does anyone know if the Suncast Storage bins will leach any toxins into the tank? i recieved one for free and have already set it up as a refugium but i dont want to put water in the system yet.

food grade is what you want
the recycling logos will give you a clue I typically prefer HDPE or Polyethylene |

does anyone know if PP (polypropylene) is toxic. it says it is used in food and is resistant to chemicals.. just curious. i got my info from this website.

P.P. is safe IME. I made my RO/DI storage tank out of P.P. I also made my salt mixing tank out of polypropylene. Quite awhile back I used to make wet/dry systems out of P.P. Some food packaging is P.P. Check the recycling logo as mentioned above. I use Scranton or Quadrant brand of P.P. sheet. You can check them out for more info.
