Picked up the B/W from local club member almost 2 weeks ago. He survived a malfunction heater episode from previous owner. unfortunately his mate and tank mates didn't make it. He's a bit skinny (will fatten him up). Well, he is going to be a she in a near future as I also picked up a baby snowflake a week prior . Observed the little guy for about 2 weeks and looking very well. So he went into the display with the B/W and bonded within the same day.

Nems are looking much more colorful during the first half hour after light turned on. too bad they don't look that way through out the day.

That may be a hint for you to play with your levels or colour mix on your lights.

Can I ask what lights you are using. Didn't notice the brand in any of your videos's or pictures. Thanks, Jerry.

What skimmer are you running? I am planning about a 200 gallon tank and starting to look at equipment.

Thanks

Almost 2 years comparison

It's about 2 years since I set up these tanks. Snap a few pics of the tank and compared them to the photos I posted (22 months) ago. Lost a few colonies but seem to be filling up. However, growth are not a fast as I used to get with my old setup.

I just discovered this yesterday. My aqua-man mushroom morph into a bi-color mushroom.

Bringing back the video of my six-line pair!

exactly 4 years ago, I did a match making for my six-line wrasse. It was a success! They have been together since until now.

Last week I notice the female 6line was inactive. I look around the tank and spotted her hiding in hole of the rock. Feed the fish and she came out to eat but very skinny and pale. Try to catch her but she went into hiding. Keep my eyes on her and up my feeding. But in the past 3 days, I could not locate her. Not sure whether she passed and the Serpent starfish finished her up or still in hiding. Hopping for the latter! Sad valentine day for the boy wrasse.

After I loss the female 6-line wrasse. I've decided to find a replacement 6-line for the widower wrasse.

However, I stumbled on an orchid dottyback @ petco and after a few weeks of observing it, I decided to give her a home. She has been hidding for over a week after released into the tank and finally come out to play.

Couldn't get a good video of the true color, but it will do for now.
