Exclamation Quick Help! Thanks

Long story short, these times have led me to start up a new tank. This is my first snag- Its been a good while since i've been in the game. I ordered the life aquatic life ro/di filter to get things going. I sadly realized after, I'm working with city water which most likely has chloramines in it. This unit I already started using will not remove it. What is my best option moving forward. I haven't added any water yet to tank, will a additive like seachem prime remove chloramines? or do I need a add on cartridge or new ro/di system?

Thanks all!

https://www.seachem.com/prime.php

Yes it removes chloramine, but I believe chloramine will destroy your RO membrane.
I'd get the correct filters, ask The Filter Guys

Could I possibly get by with dosing prime in the short term? I will have access to non city water hopefully soon, for top off and water changes etc. I have rock and sand delivered so I wanted to get the cycle started. Definitely don't want to rush it with unnatural ammonia levels tho..

Thanks!

First, check with your water company to which they use - either chlorine or chloramines. If it is, indeed, chloramines, get the correct ro membrane. The one you have now will be ruined. If it is chlorine they use, no worries!

Research first, then act. Not the other way around!

I live in Philadelphia, I looked the water company online looks like they add ammonia at the end of the treatment process, would concentration of it matter? or if its theres just assume I need a new ro/di with extra carbons blocks
