Question: Single white spot on fish?

My Foxface developed a single white spot about 1-2 millimeters in size. It is located in middle of the fish's side.

There are no behavioral symptoms or signs of distress.

I did not notice it the day before.

A search has led to no conclusions. Is this an issue? Could it have been an injury?

thanks, Jeff

Update: In just 3 hours the white spot appears to be going away.

It's turning yellow as per the fish's natural color and the "pimple" is flattening out.

I'm guessing it was cause by hitting something like a synthetic coral in my tank, or perhaps a grain of sand got imbedded. I don't know. Never seen anything like it.

However, it appears to be resolving itself.

thanks, Jeff
