Thanks Dom!

To be true, now I look at the tank and think to myself: What a good call was start it over after the crash last year.

2 months from now it'll be a 1 year old young reef tank.

Looks great! Have you considered giving the different islands names?

Thanks!

Not really....I've been calling them big island and small island since the beginning......All the creativity was used to make them, maybe....nothing left...

Today's test results:

Ra: 7,65 dKH
Ca: 450
K: 430

Ra droped a little so I open the outlet of my Ca reactor a tiny bit.....And I will check again next week.
I think that colonies start to consume Ra a little faster, due to growth.

Alex, don't you think your Calcium will get a bit high if you correct alk by opening up your ca reactor?
Also, do you run a ph controller on the reactor?

Maybe you're right Matt...
In fact, I think that Ca already is a bit high (but I didn't test it very frequently).....
I'm thinking about rise the Kh using Brightwell Alkalin, instead of change the Reactor flow....

On Sunday I'll check both again, and then I'll decide.

About the PH probe, my Apex PH probe is instaled on Reactor first chamber.....I keep the PH stable at 7,4.
In the outlet of the second chamber it's a bit higher.....7,5~7,6...
In the tank is 8,3, according Sera test kit.

I redo the tests today:

RA 7,7
Ca - 430~440 (did it twice because I was thinking that 450 was a litlle...."strange")

I'll keep the Ca reactor this way and I'll redo the tests next weekend.

Alex

Today's test results:

Ra: 7,66 dKH
Ca: 440
K: 410

Ra as Ca are stable for the past 6 weeks, so the adjustment in the Ca reactor was a good call.
K droped a little...first time that is near to 400 since the begining of the tank.
I'll keep an eye on it, and I'll start dosing Brigthwell Potassium if it drops below 400....

Alex

Really loving this incarnation of the tank Alex. How did you join the rocks together to make the aquascape?

Thanks.....

I used 2 types of epoxi putty to glue the rocks togetHer.
One is a domestic two parts (1 white and 1 grey) to hold the rocks in the right position.
After that, the finishing was made using an epoxi putty used in cars bodyworks repairs.
