Adding live rock during cycle
My tank has been cycling for a month now as its close to be being done.
Current readings Ammonia 0 Nitrite coming down from spike 0.5 ppm Nitrate 10ppm was at around 50 ppm My question is can i add live rock when its halfway cycling, i want to add more rock because my scape is too minimal for my taste and would adding rock right now start a mini cycle? |

Adding cured live rock will not cause another cycle. Yes you can add now.

As long as it is 'live' it will only help your cycle as you are bringing more bacteria to the party.

If this "live rock" has considerable decaying matter on it (because its been shipped to you,etc...) then its entirely possible to register some ammonia..
At this point your tank is capable of processing "X" amount of ammonia with its current bacterial population quick enough... If this new addition brings in more than your tank is currently capable of processing then you can register some ammonia/nitrites until the systems bacterial population can process it..
