I would really struggle and have hard time in choosing what to replace in this tank. Each and every coral is unique and good looking.

I have trouble... But somebody's gotta do it! actually, I don't show you the looser corals that I don't like very much. There are a few I will let go of easily.. When the new bunch arrives........

I agree, the macros are nice but pairing the macro with a wider shot showing the whole colony and surroundings is better.

Thanks, Tim.. I know I might sound like an a@@ for saying this but I'm not entirely happy with some colours.. Some reds are not what they should be and some blues aren't either.. Once I get nutrients where I want them, I will begin playing with Koral color and micro e as per Biggles.

Well Andrew, I have a video for you! Another one I pretty much shot and uploaded.. But with music.. One day I may try to put something with a little more thought together.

But before that I HAVE to mention something..
I have been watching Sir David Attenborough's 3 part series in the Great Barrier Reef and it is FANTASTIC. I had the pleasure of watching it (for the second time) with my daughter and it really is so good. My daughter really loved the second episode with the large animals.. The manta rays are just stunning.

Ok.. Andrew a little reef porn for you!

I liked watching the video Matt. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the soundtrack too. I could not help feeling that you could keep a few more pyramid butterflyfish. I think these fish are at their best if they are kept as a group.

Thanks Bulent. That is Norah Jones from her latest album. Yes they are better in groups. They do not come around very often. I almost never see them.. I had originally ordered several but only one big one came in.. That was probably a year ago..
I'd love to get 3 or 4 smaller ones. I kind of feel that the one I have is too big.. I'm considering taking him out..

Could someone explain to me how to embed the video in my post? I have seen the explanation elsewhere but I still don't know how to do it.

On the YouTube page, click share, then select embed. Copy that code directly into the post window Im not sure how to do it from an ipad but thats how you do it from a computer.

Thanks, Matt. That is not an option from my phone, which is what I use 95% of the time. All you can do is copy the link..
I'm going to try from my PC, just to know what I'm doing..

The pyramids may be back in season. I noticed that JLA had two in stock. I checked with my LFS today and he can order them. I have asked him to bring in a couple for me.

Thanks for the video. It is giving me some great ideas. Pretty excited here. Both my wife and I are following the SPS threads and we decided to upgrade from our 220g to an 8' tank. Probably 30 wide and 27 high. There is planning involved and will start a thread when the wheels get rolling.

Keep the videos coming. Need ideas.

I would keep that fish Matt. It looks lovely. I would get a small one for my tank if I could be sure that the yellow tank would leave it alone, but I do not think it will.

To add to what Matt said, please use the following html script and insert the embedded code, as Matt explained in his post, between the tags (note that you need to remove the spaces inside the "[" and "]" symbols. If you let me know the code for your video, I will show you how it looks.

[ youtube ] code is inserted here [ / youtube ]

Agreed,
I loved the video, and the sound was great too, like peanut butter and jelly Matt, you have an outstanding tank, your corals are vast with color contrasting, the saturation of your corals is also beautiful Keep them coming!

Hey Ward. Thanks. 8 feet by 30 by 27... Oh yeah. Now THAT is a tank I could learn to love!!! Can't wait to see that come together.

I think the yellow tang might not be too happy, Bulent. I think your are right..
He is a pretty fish, very hearty and not aggressive at all. I just wish I had 3 small ones and not one large one.. Anyways, I don't think I'm doing any major changes to my fish population..

Hey Perry, thanks!! I think I've lost a bit of saturation lately.. I think I went through a nitrate dip while I was using a po4 remover at the same time.. N got to below 1ppm.. When I got back from Cuba, I started dosing nitrate and np pro in an attempt the bring up n and lower p without using po4 removers... Well the process has been slow getting the right amount of n vs np pro so right now p is sitting at .16 and n is near 3ppm. I think this has shifted colours a bit.. I'm slowly increasing np pro and nitrate additions until I start to see phosphates begin to drop... I think I'm very close..

Thanks, Daniel! I think you are referring to the pyramid butterfly.. There is actually no blue in this fish, it is just the iPhone picking up the blue reflection from the lights..
You mean the largest fish in my tank? The one that swims across the tank right at the end of the video?

WOW Matt that's just gorgeous man. I see your colors fine man, I can only dream for my tank to look like that one.

BTW how was Cuba? I have always wanted to go, but I think my parents and grandparents might shoot me. They are from there, and left due to political reasons.
