I prefer Reef Octopus, they work well, and are designed to be easy to clean..I think it’s equally as important to get one the right size, so it’s easy to get to and empty and clean it..it really needs to be kept clean. The sludge reduces the foams ability to extract waste once it gets a thick layer on the plastic neck of the skimmer. Very important to keep the water extra pure for an SPS tank. I have an SPS tank, and am a big proponent for sulfur reactors for eliminating phosphates.
