Dolomite use?

Hi, recently i bought dolomite for plant fertilizer needs and have a lot leftover, and the package says it contain 30 % CaO and 21 % MgO, i've wondering, is anyone ever using this for maintaining calcium and magnesium levels in their tank?

You can use chunks of dolomite in a calcium reactor. It won't dissolve without the addition of carbon dioxide. You'd need to use only a small percentage of dolomite, or the magnesium level will be driven up too much. A number of people have been successful using a bit of dolomite in their calcium reactors.
