hey there.

no...I would like a tb Clarion one day but have 4 right now...
maze are beautiful fish but have never been on my radar...although, ironically enough, today wen posted a pic of a very small maze with the blue already showing...is just a beautiful pic...I will try to remember to share it in here...that particular fish was sold and on its way to the airport but that individual fish made me wonder...

So they change color because the temp is lower in the winter? Or is it just by season and not related to the water temp?

Btw, what temp do you keep your tank at for your interruptus and bandits?

That's a nice example of a tigerpyge.

There are some cheap ones on the market in the UK at the moment but not all tigerpyges are created equally.

With this fish it's all about the definition of the stripes, the colour of the body, the darkness of the tail and the blue rim on the fins.

Thx for the reply!
So you are saying that the day-night lighting cycle affects their color? Thats very interesting!
is 73 kept throughout the year or just for winter?

Also -- sorry if this info was earlier in the thread - do you use natural lights? Or do you change on/off times throughout the year to get these "short winter days"?

As always -- love looking at pictures of your fish!

tank is right next to large windows so the natural light is terrific...there are 5 Mitras units on tank...timers are def adjusted for daylight savings time...
